History
By the usual business jet categories the Phenom 300 counts as a light jet, but its large cabin, speed and range mean many travellers see it as a lower-cost alternative to midsize aircraft, the Citation XL among them. Embraer's background in airliner manufacturing shows in the design and in its approach to maintenance, which owners rate highly.
Embraer revealed the updated Phenom 300E at the NBAA show in Las Vegas, and the aircraft was launched in early 2018, the E standing for enhanced. The changes run from a quieter and roomier cabin to new cockpit functions that support safer flying, along with performance gains that allow higher cruise speeds.
In 2008, only months after its launch, the Phenom family received the IDEA/Brasil design award. Flying Magazine gave the Phenom 300 its Editor's Choice award in 2010, and Robb Report named it 'Best of the Best' among business jets in 2011. In 2020 the 300E's Bossa Nova interior took the International Yacht & Aviation Award for small and medium jet design.
Since entering the market in December 2009, the aircraft has passed 590 deliveries and remains in production. In 2020 the Phenom 300 series was the best-selling light aircraft in the world for the ninth year running, and it was also the most delivered model among all twinjets that year.

FAQ
Which airports can I reach in a Phenom 300?
Most regional airports in Europe are open to it, and it is often used for short trips between places with no direct airline service. Embraer designed it to handle smaller and more demanding airports, including London City and Aspen. Its take-off distance is about 956 m, so many destinations away from the major airports are within reach.
Phenom 300 or Pilatus PC-24: which suits my trip?
Each can be flown by a single pilot, and their maximum ranges are similar. The Phenom cruises roughly 44 km/h quicker, so it gets you there sooner. The PC-24's strength is runway flexibility: it needs less runway for take-off and can land on unpaved, icy or grass strips. Your destination airport usually decides between them.
What does a Phenom 300 charter cost?
There is no standard price. The quote depends on the route, the dates you fly, where the aircraft is positioned before your trip and which operator provides it. Hesper Jets prices each request individually, and our advisors can show you where a change of date or airport would lower the cost.
How many passengers does the Phenom 300 take?
Standard layouts seat six to eight, and maximum-density layouts take ten or eleven. The cabin is 5.23 m long, 1.55 m wide and 1.50 m high, which is generous for its category, and the hold carries around six suitcases. That suits a small executive team or a family travelling together.
How fast is the Phenom 300, and is it quicker than a Citation CJ4?
It cruises at 444 knots (822 km/h), among the quickest in the super light category, and its maximum operating speed is Mach 0.78. The Citation CJ4 cruises at about 442 knots, so on most routes the two arrive at virtually the same time. The later Phenom 300E raised cruise speed further.
Why can the Phenom 300 be flown by one pilot?
Its certification allows one pilot to fly it, supported by the Prodigy Touch flight deck based on the Garmin G3000 and automated systems that reduce pilot workload. Flying with one pilot lowers crew costs, and together with modest fuel consumption this keeps the Phenom 300 among the more economical aircraft in its category to operate.
How far will a Phenom 300 fly in one leg?
Its range with IFR reserves is 2,010 nautical miles (3,723 km). That links major European cities comfortably: Paris to Casablanca and London to Istanbul, for example, need no fuel stop. Passenger load and winds set the exact figure on the day.
