History
Gulfstream derived the G350 from the G450, giving up some range in exchange for lower operating costs. The aim was to offer the same large cabin with performance matched to medium-range flying, for operators who did not need the bigger model's maximum range. The cabin is the same size as the G450's, at 13.75 m long and 1.89 m high, and the aircraft uses the same Rolls-Royce Tay Mk 611-8C engines.
The FAA granted the G350 its type and production certificates in November 2004, and EASA validation followed on 30 March 2005. The first aircraft entered service in June 2005, backed by Gulfstream's support network, and production continued until 2012. The flight deck carries the Honeywell Primus Epic PlaneView suite.
The G350's place in the range was straightforward: large-cabin comfort at a lower operating cost. For a full group on a transatlantic or medium-haul route, it provides the same cabin as the G450 without the cost of range the trip does not use.

FAQ
Does the G350 fly further than the Gulfstream G200?
Yes. With 3,800 nm (7,038 km) of range, the G350 can fly intercontinental routes that would need a fuel stop in the smaller G200. It also has a much larger cabin, with a standard layout of 14 seats and a maximum of 16, so it carries more people over longer distances.
How many passengers fit in the G350?
The standard layout seats 14, and the maximum is 16. The cabin matches the G450's floor space, at 13.75 m long, 2.26 m wide and 1.89 m high, which leaves room for flexible seating and a full galley. Baggage space is 4.79 cubic metres, enough for about 12 suitcases and 12 carry-on bags.
How fast is the G350?
It cruises at 476 kts (882 km/h), with a long-range cruise speed of 459 kts and a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.88. That is quicker than both the Bombardier Challenger 605 and the Embraer Legacy 600, and it shortens medium and long sectors like New York to Los Angeles or London to Dubai.
Which city pairs can the G350 connect without refuelling?
Its 3,800 nm (7,038 km) range with IFR reserves covers Paris to Dubai, London to New York and Tokyo to Hong Kong in one leg. Many transatlantic and Gulf business trips fall within that distance, with the full cabin available throughout. Payload and winds set the limit on each flight.
How does the G350's cabin pressure affect passenger comfort?
Like other Gulfstreams, the G350 holds the cabin at a low equivalent altitude during flight. Passengers feel less tired as a result and arrive in better shape. Combined with large windows and a spacious interior, the pressurisation makes medium and long flights noticeably more comfortable.
