History
Gulfstream began producing the G600 in 2019, and it remains in production. Speed is what the jet is known for: it holds more than 20 speed records, one of them a Savannah to Geneva crossing in 7 hours 21 minutes. With 6,600 nm (12,223 km) of range it links New York with Dubai, London with Beijing and Los Angeles with Shanghai without stopping. Power comes from a pair of Pratt & Whitney PW815GA turbofans mounted at the tail.
Inside, the cabin seats 13 to 17 in a standard layout and up to 19 at maximum, with club and conference seating that can be combined to suit the group. There is a full galley, space for dining and working, a lounge area and a bar. Passengers can adjust the lighting to their own preference, and low engine noise and vibration keep the cabin quiet in cruise.
The design has been recognised by the International Yacht & Aviation Awards. The G600 won the Private Jet Design category in 2017, and the G650ER took the same title in 2018. Also in 2018, the seats Gulfstream designed for the G500 and G600 won the Product category, recognising their ergonomics.

FAQ
Which routes can the G600 fly non-stop?
Its range with IFR reserves is 6,600 nm (12,223 km), enough to connect New York and Dubai, London and Beijing, Los Angeles and Shanghai, or Los Angeles and London. How far a particular trip can go depends on how many passengers fly, how much baggage they bring, the fuel load, and the weather and winds en route, so our advisors confirm each routing before quoting.
How fast is the Gulfstream G600?
It cruises at 516 kts (956 km/h) and has a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.93, which puts it among the quickest business jets flying. That pace has earned it more than 20 speed records, among them Savannah to Geneva in 7 hours 21 minutes. When range matters more than time, crews fly a long-range cruise of 488 KTAS instead.
What is the cabin like, and how many passengers does it take?
A standard layout seats 13 to 17, and the maximum is 19. The cabin measures 13.81 m long, 2.31 m wide and 1.89 m high, with three living areas and a rest area for the crew. Fourteen of Gulfstream's oval windows bring in daylight, the finishes include real wood veneer and leather seats, and the lighting adjusts to the passengers. The air supply is 100% fresh, and cabin pressure is set to limit fatigue on long flights.
Should I choose a G600 or a G650?
Both are large-cabin Gulfstreams that seat up to 19. The G650 is slightly bigger, with a longer cabin and fuselage, and it flies 741 km further. It also needs more runway, which can make the G600 the better option for short or remote airstrips. The G650 costs more to buy and to operate, and charter rates usually reflect that.
How does the G600 compare with the G500?
The G600 flies 6,600 nm (12,223 km), against 5,300 nm (9,816 km) for the G500, a gain of 2,408 km that turns some one-stop trips into non-stop ones. Both use the Symmetry Flight Deck and have a similar cabin cross-section, though the G600 cabin is about a metre longer, and each seats up to 19. If your route is within G500 range, the smaller jet gives you the Gulfstream cabin at a lower cost.
What technology is on the flight deck?
Pilots fly the G600 from Gulfstream's Symmetry Flight Deck, with fly-by-wire controls, a head-up display and an Enhanced Vision System that uses infrared imaging to see through poor weather and low light. Synthetic vision and predictive windshear detection add further protection. The aircraft always flies with two pilots: Gulfstream does not certify it for single-pilot operation.
What does a G600 charter cost?
There is no fixed rate. The cost of a G600 trip depends on the route and flight time, your travel dates, where the nearest suitable aircraft is positioned and which operator flies it. Hesper Jets prices every request individually, and an advisor will come back to you with a quote built around your itinerary.
